woven with a homemade backstrap rigid heddle loom, these ribbons use different colors and patterns to signify different meanings to the artist. the ribbons, while meant to be worn in hair, also have strands of the artist’s hair woven into them, imbuing a physical piece of the artist’s body into the work along with the emotional significance.
